The number one question we get: "should I size down?" Short answer for most people: yes. Here's the long answer.
Oversized is the design, not an accident
Every Redlined hoodie is cut oversized — dropped shoulders, roomy body, longer sleeves. That's the streetwear silhouette Japanese and Australian street culture actually wears. It's meant to drape, not hug.
How to choose your size
Want the full oversized look? Order your normal size. You'll get the intended baggy silhouette.
Prefer a regular or fitted look? Size down one. The oversized cut means one size down still fits comfortably — it just sits closer to a standard fit.
Between sizes? Size down. Heavyweight fleece has structure and holds its shape, so err on the smaller side.
Why heavyweight fabric changes the fit
Thin hoodies collapse against your frame. Heavyweight fleece — what we use across the range — has enough structure to hold the oversized shape properly, which is why the silhouette looks intentional instead of sloppy. It's also why they actually keep you warm at a 6am meet in July. Wash it cold and inside out to keep that shape — see our care guide.
